Can I import requirements into Accompa?

 Print This

Yes, it's very easy to do.

If you're currently tracking your requirements using spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Excel), word processors (such as Microsoft Word), or PC databases (such as Microsoft Access) - you can easily import them into Accompa.

  1. If you're using Microsoft Excel to track your current requirements - you can directly import an Excel file into Accompa.
  2. If you're using something other than Microsoft Excel:
    • First, save your current requirements into a "CSV" (Comma Separated Values) file - all the popular spreadsheet and database software provide you with this option.
  3. Import the Excel or CSV file into Accompa using the Import Wizard. You can access it by clicking the Requirements tab, then clicking  Import link below the tab, and then following on-screen instructions.

When the file is successfully imported, new requirements will be automatically created in Accompa.

Tips:

  • You can import values into a "multiple select" picklist easily. Simply include the multiple values - separated by a comma - within the appropriate column in the Excel or CSV file.
