Can I "lock" a requirement?

This feature is currently in limited release - and is enabled only for certain accounts. Please contact us if you'd like this feature enabled for your account.

Yes - Accompa enables you to lock specific fields of a requirement, to prevent users from editing the fields.

To lock fields of a requirement:

  1. Login using an account that has 'Administrator' privileges.
  2. Click Requirements tab of your Accompa system.
  3. Go to "Requirement Details" page of the desired requirement. (How do I do this?)
  4. Click Actions  link at the top-right of the page.
  5. In the resulting menu, select Lock/Unlock Fields  option.
  6. In the window that opens, check the fields you'd like to lock. The click the Save  button.
  7. The fields will be locked, and a "lock" icon will appear next to the locked fields.

To unlock fields of a requirement:

  1. Follow steps 1-5 listed above.
  2. In the window that opens, uncheck the fields you'd like to unlock. The click the Save  button.
  3. The fields will be unlocked, and the "lock" icon will disappear next to the unlocked fields.
