Can I terminate a floating license session forcibly?

 Print This

Yes, you can forcibly terminate a user's floating license session.

For example: If all of your floating licenses are occupied, you may choose to forcibly terminate a session where the user has been inactive for a certain period of time.

IMPORTANT: Please do this judiciously, as your users may not like being forcibly terminated - especially, if they cannot log back in until floating licenses are freed up.

To forcibly terminate a floating license session:

  • Login to Accompa using an account that has 'Administrator' privileges.
  • Click Settings on the top-right, and select Manage Users from the menu.
  • Towards the top of the resulting page - you'll see how many floating licenses you've purchased and a link for floating licenses dashboard - click this link.
  • The resulting page will contain a table that lists all active floating license sessions. You can sort this table by clicking on column headers.
  • Click terminate link next to desired session to terminate it.
