How do I implement "Secondary IDs"?

 Print This

To implement "Secondary IDs" in your Accompa system:

  • Login using an account that has 'Administrator' privileges.
  • Click Settings on the top-right, and select Customize Accompa from the menu.
  • In the resulting page, click  Define secondary IDs link - this link will be present under the  Customize Fields  section.
    • If this link is not present, it means the "Secondary IDs" feature has not been enabled on your Accompa system. Please contact Accompa and request this to be enabled.
  • You will now see the "Define Secondary IDs" page. In this page:
    • Step-1: Select the desired  Controlling Field. The value selected in this field of a requirement will decide the secondary ID that's assigned to that requirement.
    • Step-2: Then define the prefixes you prefer for each value of the "Controlling field".
      • You may leave prefixes blank for some picklist field values - if you do so, secondary IDs will not be assigned to those requirements which contain corresponding picklist field values.
    • Step-3: Select "Enable" radiobutton once you're ready to turn on the secondary IDs feature for your Accompa system.
    • Click the "Save" button to complete the process.
