How do I restrict a user's ability to edit certain fields?

Accompa makes it easy for you to restrict a user's ability to edit certain fields of your requirements.

You can achieve this by following these steps:

  1. Create a custom user role. How do I do this?
    • Select the fields that can be edited by users belonging to this user role.
  2. Assign this user role to the desired user(s). How do I do this?


Examples:

By following these steps, you can implement user privileges such as:

  • Only users belonging to "Product Manager" role can change the "Priority" field.
  • Only users belonging to "Engineering Manager" role can change the "Effort Estimate" field.
  • Only users belonging to "Project Manager" role can change the "Status" field.
  • And so on...
