How does "Password Expiry" policy work?

 Print This

"Password Expiry" policy works as follows:

  • You can set up Accompa to automatically expire users' passwords at a pre-defined frequency (such as "Every 30 days", "Every 60 days", etc).
  • Each user will then be forced to select a new password at the frequency you've defined.

You can define the "Password Expiry" policy for your Accompa system by following these steps:

  1. Login using an account that has 'Administrator' privileges.
  2. Click Settings on the top-right, and select Security Controls from the menu.
  3. In the resulting page, click  Define password policy link.
  4. In the page that appears, select desired frequency from  User passwords expire in picklist.
  5. Click the "Save" button.
