How are requirements numbered? Can I manually number them?

 Print This

Accompa automatically assigns a unique number to each requirement (RE-1, RE-2, RE-3, etc). This is one of the benefits of Accompa - as you can add requirements without worrying about manually numbering them, avoiding duplicate numbers, etc.

In some cases, you may have a need to use your own numbering system. In these cases, you can create a custom field and use it to manually enter your own numbering scheme. You can then use this custom field in 'SmartViews' and 'Requirements Documents' instead of numbers auto-assigned by Accompa.
