How do I delete a discussion thread?

 Print This

The following users can delete a discussion thread:

  • User who started the discussion thread.
  • Users with "Administrator" privileges.

There are two methods to delete a discussion thread:

Method 1:

If you know which "Requirement" the discussion is associated with:

  1. Go to the "Requirement Details" page for that requirement. (How do I do this?). Similarly, you may go to 'Feature Details" or "Use Case Details" page to delete discussions related to those data.
  2. Scroll down to the "Discussion Threads" section and find the discussion you'd like to delete.
  3. Click del link next to it to delete that discussion.

Method 2:

  1. Click Requirements tab of your Accompa system.
  2. Enter a search term associated with the discussion in "Search" box under the tab, and click "Go".
  3. In the "Search Results" page that appears, click Discussions link.
  4. In the resulting page, find the discussion of interest and click del link next to it to delete that discussion.

When you delete a discussion, it is moved to the Recycle Bin. You can recover it from Recycle Bin page - you can reach this page by clicking Recycle Bin link below "Requirements", "Features" or "Use Cases" tabs.
