How can I use the "Execute this trigger daily" trigger condition?

 Print This

The "Execute this trigger daily" trigger condition enables you to automatically send trigger emails, such as time-based reminders.

Some examples of how you can use this:

  • Send an email to the owner of a requirement 3 days before 'Due Date'.
  • Send an email to the owner of an issue 8 weeks before 'Release Date'.

NOTES:

  • The trigger is executed daily between midnight and 2:00 am of the timezone you define in your Company Profile page.
  • Although the trigger is executed daily, email will be sent only on those days that match the criteria you define in the "Schedule" field (available under "Trigger Action" section).

Here are the steps to do this:

  1. Login to Accompa using an account that has 'Administrator' privileges.
  2. Then either add a new trigger, or edit an existing trigger.
  3. In the "Trigger Conditions" section, select the Execute this trigger daily radiobutton. Then select any other "Trigger Conditions".
  4. Then in the "Trigger Actions" section, select  Send Email in the "Perform these actions" picklist.
  5. In the resulting "Send Email" form, the "Schedule" field enables you to select when the email is sent from Accompa.
  6. Complete the required fields, and click "Save" button.

Then your trigger will activate based on the "Trigger Conditions" and according to the schedule you set.
